Has to Say About 2Leaf Press[/trx_title]
What is the point of writing and supporting an independent press like 2Leaf Press when it seems like not much else matters? What is the point of writing and creating when so many are feeling marrow-deep despair? Perhaps despair is one of a few feelings that artists and writers need to fuel the creative process in order for a lively discussion to happen. It’s writing and art that moves me beyond compare. 2Leaf Press is committed to its mission as stated on the website: “to foster a universal passion for reading by partnering with multicultural poets, authors, artists, activists and scholars who communicate stories and ideas that inform, entertain, educate, inspire, and connect them to readers everywhere.” It’s an independent press that will always reach for the light continually, but requires assistance toward its present and future goals of publishing anthologies, alternative fiction, nonfiction, poetry and bilingual works by activists, academics, authors and poets. We can’t let 2Leaf Press’s future publishing goals go unfulfilled since writing must always continue to matter.
