Left Bank Books

Left Bank Books is the first major book store in the country to feature a 2Leaf Press author, poet Shirley Bradley LeFlore, a local artist who is a founding member of the Black Artist Group, and has been actively involved in the St. Louis performance art community over the past 5 decades.

LeFlore’s debut poetry collection, Brassbones & Rainbows, and Rivers of Women, are available for sale at Left Bank Books. An oral performer and retired adjunct professor, her play, “Rivers of Women” was performed at the Missouri History Museum in May 2013.

Founded in 1969, Left Bank Books is an independently-owned bookstore offering a full-line of new and used books and services in the greater metropolitan area of St. Louis. LeFlore is scheduled to appear at the St. Louis Public Library – Schlafly Branch as part of their Authors @ Your Library presents program on August 1, 2013, 7:00PM – 8:30PM, and her books will be available for purchase courtesy of Left Bank Books.

GABRIELLE DAVID is a multidisciplinary artist who is a musician, photographer, digital designer, editor, poet and writer. She is the Executive Director of the nonprofit organization, 2Leaf Press Inc. and publisher of the Black/Brown female-led 2Leaf Press in New York.
