2Leaf Press Celebrates Awesome Black Women you should
know for its Black History Month Campaign,
highlighting Black women pioneers and
the women who are crushing it today!
NEW YORK, NY – 2Leaf Press announces its new campaign, “2Leaf Press Celebrates Awesome Black Women,” for Black History Month. 2Leaf Press, A Black/Brown Female-Led Press, acknowledges the African American women in history who have made our world what it is today, but have not always received the recognition they deserved. With the purpose of educating the public through social media, blogs, and video and podcasts interviews, 2Leaf Press will use the entire month of February 2021 to highlight successful Black women.
Every February, the general public celebrates Black History Month, but unfortunately, the emphasis is primarily on Black men. As a nonprofit Black/Brown Female-Led Press, we believe that all women hold the power they need to succeed, and the courage to lead others through adversity. So, this month, we’re highlighting some of the African American women who have not only paved the way for all women but have shown bravery and integrity in their pursuits in breaking barriers particularly for other women of color. From former activist Rosa Parks and actress Cicely Tyson to current Vice President Kamala Harris and actress Viola Davis, just to name a few, 2Leaf Press will use this campaign to bring awareness to Black women from many different generations who has worked hard to be the change needed in today’s society.
Please be sure to follow us on our social media channels Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. to submit your comments and share our posts with others.
As we honor notable Black women whose accomplishments have changed the world in literature, entertainment, sports, visual arts, dance and more, we also want to show younger generations that “We Too” can be the change we would like to see in life moving forward, and that Black women weren’t just pioneers but are currently crushing it in today’s society as well.
