NORTHWEST CONTRIBUTORS
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE WHITE IN AMERICA? contributors in Portland Oregon (calling themselves the “Northwest Group,” see their Facebook page), consisting of Patrik McDade, Anne Mavor, Leah Mueller, Jan PriddyCarol Weliky, and Tereza Topferova Bottmanare participating in Portland Community College’s first “Whiteness History Month” where people come together to talk about white privilege, what it is, why it exists, and the impact it has on all races.

The goal of WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE WHITE IN AMERICA? is to encourage people to have open and honest discussions about race. Congratulations to Portland Community College for creating a safe space for people to engage, learn, and challenge race issues in this country; and special thanks to our WIA contributors participation in this groundbreaking project.

The book is available for pre-order at Amazon.com and will be available on Ingram at the end of the month.
