Stephanie Freeman

STEPHANIE FREEMAN is the director of the Arts and Humanities Program at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. A long-time educator with over two decades of teaching experience on a collegiate level, she co-authored an essay for Oxford University Press’ series, Creativity, A Reader for Writers (2015). She received a BA in English at North Carolina State University, an MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a master of theological studies from Duke University, and is currently working on a dual major at Apex School of Theology in Durham, North Carolina where she will receive both the master’s in Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Freeman is currently working on her memoir.
