Mary McLaughlin Slechta

MARY MCLAUGHLIN SLECHTA is author of the poetry collection Wreckage on a Watery Moon (FootHills), and The Spoonmaker’s Diamond, a serial game book-style novel for Night Owls Press. A poem was featured in Rattle’s tribute to African American Poets and she received the Charlotte and Isidor Paiewonsky Prize from The Caribbean Writer. Her fiction appears in the anthology New to North America: Writing by U.S. Immigrants, Their Children and Grandchildren (2007). She earned an MA in English literature from Syracuse University and is currently an editor with Great Weather for Media.
