Mark B. Springer

MARK B. SPRINGER is a multidisciplinary artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a pianist, singer/songwriter, painter, illustrator, and author. He is working on the memoir, Caught in Jim Crow’s Scheme, which is focused around the 1980s prison boom and crack cocaine phenomenon. Springer has served 28 years of a life-time sentence. His music can be heard on the “Die Jim Crow EP,” a concept album about racism in the US prison system. In addition to his musical contributions, Springer is the illustrator of the Die Jim Crow EP Book (2016).
