Karen R. Johnson

KAREN R. JOHNSON, a former English teacher, now a freelance writer and mother of three, earned her BA degree at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, and an MA at The University of Nebraska, Omaha. Her MA was earned upon her completion of her thesis: “The Dynamics of Racism and White Privilege in an Urban Public School.” Johnson is a contributor in several anthologies, including The Unofficial Guide to Surviving Pregnancy Without Losing Your Mind Paperback (2018), Lose the Cape: Never Will I Ever (and then I had kids!) (2015), and her work has also been featured in The Good Men Project, Scary Mommy, and Good Housekeeping, and elsewhere. She resides in the Kansas City area and blogs at The 21st Century SAHM.
