John Warner Smith

JOHN WARNER SMITH has published the poetry collections, Our Shut Eyes: New & Selected Poems on Race in America (2021), Muhammad’s Mountain (2018), Spirits of the Gods (2017), Soul Be A Witness (2016) and A Mandala of Hands (2015). Smith’s poems have appeared in Ploughshares, Callaloo, Antioch Review, North American Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Transition, and numerous other literary journals. His poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and for the Sundress Best of the Net Anthology.
