Janie Starr

JANIE STARR is a writer and activist, living on an island in Washington State, where she leads anti-racism ally workshops, and works for environmental and social justice. She earned an MPH in women’s sexuality from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and an MA in psychology from Antioch University, Seattle. The author of the memoir, Bone Marrow Boogie, the Dance of a Lifetime (2002), her essays have appeared in RN Journal for Nurses, Applied Radiology, Ducts.org, Wanderlustandlip-stick.com, and the anthologies, Cup of Comfort for Women (2007), and Female Nomad and Friends (2010).
