Janel Cloyd

JANEL CLOYD is a poet, fiction writer and essayist. She received her BA in journalism from New York University, and is a Watering Hole Fellow and a Willow Books/Willow Arts Alliance Fellow. She has publications with The Yellow Chair, Poeming Pigeon, Cave Canem Digital and The Watering Hole Poetry Contest, and her book, Anthology: Mujeres, The Magic, The Movement and The Muse. She is a member of Women’s Writer’s Poetry in Bloom Literary Salon, and The Poetry & Writer’s Network & Exchange. Cloyd has participated in workshops and readings with Cave Canem, Bowery Poetry, Hobart Women’s Writers, and Women’s Writers in Bloom. She is also a mixed media artist with a concentration in collage, paper arts, fiber, poetry, text and images.
