Jane Marchant

JANE MARCHANT is a writer, photographer, and activist from Berkeley, California. She has lived in treehouses in Southern Turkey, slept under the stars in the Australian Outback, and visited every nature park in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. She is currently writing a research-based memoir on her family’s history of racial passing, for which she has received funding from the John Anson Kittredge Fund. Marchant’s writing and photography have appeared in Guernica/A Magazine of Art & Politics, The Columbia Science Review, and the Buzzfeed Community. She holds a BA in creative writing from Columbia University, where she is pursuing her MFA in nonfiction writing. https://janemarchant.com.
