Hope Lynne Price-Lindsay

HOPE LYNNE PRICE-LINDSAY earned a BFA at Howard University and studied playwriting at Kenyon College. She is a children's author, playwright, poet, and public-school arts educator. A former actress, she has performed Off-Broadway and in regional theater, in addition to small parts in television and film, and is a member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA. She is the founder and artistic director of the Bison Repertory Theater Company in the D.C. metropolitan area.

A native of St. Louis, her writing career began at an early age, with her very first poem published in Essence Magazine at the age of twelve. In the 1980s DC Commission on Arts and Humanities awarded her a Larry Neal Fellowship for Poetry. She is the author of the children's books, These Hands (1999) and Little Brown (2020), her debut novel Luke Warm (2013), and has penned four plays that have been produced in states across the country (MD, DC, NY, MA, KY). http://hopelynneprice-lindsay.com.
