Christina Berchini

CHRISTINA BERCHINI, a native New Yorker from Brooklyn, received her PhD in curriculum, instruction, and teacher education from Michigan State University. She teaches teacher education courses at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and has published scholarship on whiteness in the International Journal of Qualitative Studies, the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, and other scholarly forums. Her mainstream work has appeared in outlets such as Education Week Teacher, The Huffington Post, and Inside Higher Education. Berchini’s research on whiteness has won the Association of Teacher Educator’s Distinguished Dissertation in Teacher Education award.
