On November 14, 2014, in celebration of Native American Heritage Month, acclaimed Peruvian Andean poet Odi Gonzales and Drexel adjunct professor, Lynn Levin, made a joint appearance at Drexel University College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of English & Philosophy, to discuss BIRDS ON THE KISWAR TREE.

In this video, they talk about the poetry collection, the cultural pressures that the indigenous Quechua fine artists of Peru endured under Spanish colonial rule, and their collaborative efforts in the translation process. BIRDS ON THE KISWAR TREE is Odi Gonzales first bilingual publication. Check out this link for more information.
